MTC Week Dos.

Hola familia y amigos!

Another great week. I will say, my district and I are all exhausted and one Elder said he fell asleep while eating breakfast. But the Lord continues to give us strength or la fortaleza every day to do what we need to do.

I go to the Provo MTC on Wednesday the 24 and I am so excited. I can’t wait to meet my companion and my district in person. We are all such great friends now.

Spanish

Spanish is coming along. It just takes time and lots and lots of work. Pray like everything depends on the Lord and work like everything depends on you. I would appreciate it if you all included me in your prayers for the gift of tongues. If there is one thing I have learned it is that the gift of tongues is real and we as missionaries have to pray for it every hour of every day. Along with asking for it we have to work work work for it. The rest of the world learns languages over years of practice but at the MTC we learn languages in 4 weeks because we work work work and pray pray pray and trust trust trust.

Scripture

A scripture that I thought was cool: D&C 18:15-16. I will LABOR all my day crying repentance unto all and how great will my joy be if I bring save 1 soul unto God… even if the only one I bring to Christ is my own soul. The spirit does the teaching and the soul does the learning; I am merely a facilitator. It is up to the choice of each individual.

Answering Gospel Questions

Elder Jeffery R. Holland “In moments of fear or doubt or troubling times, hold the ground you have already won, even if that ground is limited. … When those moments come and issues surface, the resolution of which is not immediately forthcoming, hold fast to what you already know and stand strong until additional knowledge comes. … The size of your faith or the degree of your knowledge is not the issue- it is the integrity you demonstrate toward the faith you do have and the truth you already know.”

The Spirit

We were challenged by an Elder in my district to write down everytime we felt the spirit during the mtc and as I started doing that I have been amazed at how the Lord is so aware of me and wants to teach me everything. There really is no cap on the things the Lord will reveal to you. The only cap is the one we limit ourselves to. If we draw unto Him and do the work (study pray ponder serve repent) HE WILL MAKE ALL THINGS KNOWN UNTO US. I am so grateful for the spirit and all that it is able to do; teach, comfort, guide, warn, direct. Someone said in one of our workshops,“We spend a lot of time working for God but not enough time with God.” That just means that at the end of the day, we need to spend more time with God in prayer, in thought, in service, etc.

Invitation

I invite you all to start keeping track of the times you see LITERALLY ANYTHING good in your life because “all things which are good, cometh of God.” So will you? I promise if you do, you will feel the love from God that has always been there and will always be there. And message me or email me your experience because I would love to hear about it. Anyways… God is real, we are his children and he loves us. Jesus Christ is our savior and our greatest friend. His gospel is true and is our greatest treasure. The only treasure that will never lose value and will never tarnish and cannot be robbed. Love you all and stay safe, Adios.
